Legal Assistant / Paralegal

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support to attorneys while ensuring the efficient management of case files, client communications, and legal documentation. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
• Maintain and manage physical and electronic case files.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, hearings, depositions, and deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
• Draft legal forms, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Assist with trial preparation, document production, and exhibit organization.
• File legal documents electronically and with local, state, and federal courts.
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements.
• Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with electronic court filing (e-filing).
• Familiarity with legal billing software and document management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
